Why I Teach

Both my wife Jackie and I have been blessed to be able to work with people and help others in our careers. As a Special Education School Social Worker, Jackie has profoundly helped the community and shared some of her insights and inspiration with me, enabling me to be a better and more successful piano teacher.

It was my great fortune to have been able to study for many years with the great pianist and teacher William Browning, who carried on the tradition and example of his teacher, the legendary pianist
Carl Friedberg.

It is no surprise then that I share their passion for piano playing and have tried to preserve some of their achievements and pass them on.

As we continue to see profound technological, cultural, and political changes impact music and education, I feel more committed than ever to offer specialized personal instruction to students, which allows them to engage with the wonderful piano and become more exposed to artistic music of many styles.
